Projeto de Promoção de Sucesso e de Redução de Abandono no Ensino Superior

Academic Success at ULisboa – Students

In order to foster its students' success, the University of Lisbon promotes a range of activities with a direct impact on the reduction of dropout rates.

Due to the demands entailed in transitioning and adapting to a new educational context, the dropout rate for students in higher education has been more frequent among first-year students. In this regard, the programme's activities have a special focus on students in the first year of their studies.

Prevention is the first step towards reducing dropout rates and increasing students' success and well-being. As dropping out is, in most cases, a gradual and progressive decision-making process, identifying this intention and providing early support could lead to a reduction in the number of students who decide to interrupt their studies.
