Dead birds still cast shadows
This play by TEUC - Teatro dos Estudantes da Universidade de Coimbra [Student Theatre of the University of Coimbra], will be performed on 15 May at 9pm at the Carlos Paredes Auditorium in Benfica, as part of FATAL.
What is time if not a shadow that falls and never rises? In the border between light and dark, flight is but an illusion and bodies fall weightlessly, endlessly. Shadows don’t belong to the body, but to inexistence. Birds whose wings they never said goodbye to, but whose bodies no longer exist, hover on the threshold between dream and death.
In the space between dusk and dawn, creatures of flesh and light float, fall apart, and reinvent themselves All that remains is the question: what remains when nothing else matters? When the void is the only horizon?
