Confucius Institute awarded Global Model title
is the product of thecollaboration between ULisboa and the Tianjin Foreign Studies University and was awarded the Global Model title in the event that took place on June 13, 2023, in Tianjin, Northern China. This is an important recognition of the quality of the work for Chinese language teaching and the dissemination of Chinese culture in Portugal.
The Confucius Institute was established 15 years ago and has trained around 20,000 Chinese language students of all ages and backgrounds. The institute aims to promote communication in Chinese, deepen international understanding of the Chinese language and culture, and fosterinterpersonal exchange between China and the rest of the world. The ICUL registers the participation of over 90,000 people in the various cultural activities it promotes, and over 100 students were awarded international education scholarships to study in China.
