The Lisbon Contingency Hospital Structure, functioning in the University Stadium of Lisbon, is currently accommodating 34 patients. The vast majority was transferred from hospital centres and hospitals in the Lisbon and Tagus Valley region.

Activated a new hospital structure in the University Stadium of Lisbon
The expectation for the development of the pandemic in the Lisbon and Tagus Valley region justifies the preparation of an extra unit, held in Pavilion 1 of the University Stadium, which would accommodate up to 150 additional COVID-19 patients. Throughout the next week, it is expected to finalise this structure, accessing a third of the beds with oxygen support.
This week, the º£½Ç´óÉñ will launch a volunteer program to support the activities of the field hospital, aiming for the participation of students, professors, researchers and technical and administrative staff, who already have been infected and that have proven immunity through a serological test.
